Adds up 5 different functions
The project of Emre Arolat and Murat Tabanlıoğlu which plans to create a new city center and a unique park aims to be added as a new chain to the public space construct of İstanbul. It breaks the structural and social norms of the known shopping centers with its rich semi-open spaces and brings a unique description of city square. A big scale concert hall as planned to provide a significant contribution to the cultural life of İstanbul becomes one of the important parts of the project.
Social and cultural works come into the forefront in the Zorlu Center project which is planned to be completed before the 2010 European Capital of Culture activities. The project covers social and cultural structures like conference halls, concert hall, museum and library and it is a candidate to become a “trendsetter” in the real estate sector due to its “mixed use” feature including five different functions for the first time in Turkey with the hotel, business center, shopping center and residences. The construction of the project started with the foundation improvement and it is planned to complete the social and cultural center and the shopping center in 2010 and the hotel, business center and residence functions in 2011.
