 Mr. Ahmet Zorlu, Director of the Board of Management of the Zorlu Holding said: “We will realize our Zorlu Center, project the first and only 5-functions mixed use project of Turkey, and present it to Turkish people who have always trusted us so far. Zorlu Center with no match in Europe will further increase İstanbul’s rapidly rising value in the world”.
In his statement, Mr. Zorlu emphasized that in the Zorlu Center project they, together with the architects Mr. Emre Arolat and Mr. Murat Tabanlıoğlu, aimed to create “a new city square”. “In this sense, we will add a new chain to the public domain structure of İstanbul and create a unique city square”.
Zorlu Center Project is a mixed use project which will include 5 different functions for the first time in Turkey with the culture and art center, hotel, business center, shopping center and residences.
International center of attraction
 At Zorlu Center, a giant masterpiece will be constructed with the 3500 people capacity culture and art center established over an area of 25 thousand sqm which will suit nicely to İstanbul, European Capital of Culture. The multi-purpose center of art in this area will allow activities 7 days a week and it will be a cultural center for both children and adults. The project will also contain a 5-star hotel adding prestige and tourism value to İstanbul and a shopping centre where new and existing brands will be present.
Green area for İstanbul to breath
80 thousand sqm green recreational area to be created in Zorlu Center, which will become one of the projects to further increase the rapidly rising value of İstanbul in the world, will provide breath to the city and its people. Furthermore, transportation will be eased with underground connections to Gayrettepe Metro Station and Zincirlikuyu Metrobus Station.
Two international awards to Zorlu Center
On the other hand, Zorlu Center project has already been awarded with two international prices. Jury special award of “Master Planning” was given to the project last year in the Cityscape Dubai Architectural Awards where the most prestigious architecture projects of the world competed.
This year, Zorlu Center has been awarded with the “Commercial Architecture Award” in the Europe and Africa Property Awards 2009 within the scope of the International Property Awards.
