Social Innovation

imece is a social innovation platform that supports individuals in their social good- and environmental benefit-driven journeys, and strives for systematic transformation through communities and the content it creates. It was established in 2016 with a partnership between ATÖLYE, S360 and Zorlu Holding. imece supports the establishment of effective partnerships addressing global matters for creating more humane systems, more equitable approaches and a more sustainable world as pointed out by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which it considers a compass for its programs and content. Working towards developing new approaches, learning from experience and acting collaboratively, imece conducts its main programs imece impact, imeceLAB and imece dialogues through the activities it carries out with different partners and the content it produces.

imeceLAB, imece's open innovation laboratory, empowers high school and university students to develop their capabilities with programs based on social innovation, social impact and human-centric design methodology. It enables collective and inclusive solutions to social, cultural and environmental challenges through different processes and programs that it carries out with the participation of young people.

An event series as part of which imece brings together the stakeholders of the ecosystem, imece dialogues aims to explore the social, ecological and economic progress and direction of Global Goals-related issues, and their potential for new beginnings.

Through the imece impact program, imece creates social and ecological benefits and aims to accelerate the growth stage social startups and to make their social impact visible.

At the imece summit hosted by Zorlu Holding with the “Shaping the Futures” theme in March 2021, individuals and institutions from across Türkiye and around the world have gathered around the common goal of achieving more human- and planet-centric systems, more egalitarian approaches and having a more sustainable planet.
