VESTEL

Vestel is committed to meet the World Class Manufacturing criteria. We are a signatory to the Business Plastic Initiative, which aims to eliminate plastic pollution and move towards a circular economy.

  • We build collaborations to use recycled raw material.
  • We reduce paint and dye usage, and prefer bio-based paint and dye alternatives.
  • We design more ecological insulation material to replace petroleum-based insulation with recycled biowaste, such as waste food and biodiesel.
  • We revise our product designs to use less plastic.
  • Many of our products are made from 100% recycled ABS and PA66.
  • We use bioplastics made from olive pits in our products.
  • We continue to reduce plastic usage in packaging.
  • A first in Turkey: Since April 1, 2021, Vestel products are shipped in 100% recycled cardboard.
KORTEKS

Korteks engages in sustainable and efficient manufacturing from raw material procurement to end-product, calculating the environmental impact of its products and carrying out product life cycle analyses.

  • In textile, Korteks holds world-class Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certification.
  • We have commenced production of polyester yarn made from 100% recycled PET bottles in our Polymer Recycling Facility, a first in Turkey and Europe.
  • We use PET bottles and production waste to produce RPET pellets, the raw material used in polyester yarn production.
  • Established in a 17,000 square meter facility that boasts a production capacity of 600,000 tonnes per month, the Polymer Recycling Facility enables Korteks’ PET yarn manufacturing plant to produce with zero waste.
